CNC Workstation Specialist

Eau Claire Tooling - Eau Claire, Wisconsin 

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC equipment
  • Advanced programming of the CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software
  • Maintain tools so they stay in correct working order
  • Schedule all work flowing through the work center or making alterations, if needed
  • Perform advanced machining practices on tool room equipment
  • Coordinate work with NC programmers
  • May perform mold manufacturer/repairer duties
  • Manufacture tooling components per drawings or verbal instruction from mold manufacturer
  • Develop the work center to operate unattended where possible
  • Meet all established goals set for machine center
  • Conduct quality checks to confirm accuracy of components
  • Subcontract to vendors providing the required information in concurrence with mold manufacturing managers
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Keep work area clean
  • Report incidents and injuries to team leader/manager immediately
  • Recognize close-call incidents and safety hazards and take action to eliminate them
  • Use equipment properly and follow the safety features/operating procedures
  • Wear applicable personal protective equipment
  • Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures
  • Actively participate in continual improvement, corrective action and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Two-year degree in machine tooling or similar discipline; or equivalent mix of education and experience
  • Completion of a formal or informal apprenticeship program; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience with programming and operation of CNC
  • Minimum two (2) years' exposure to complete plastic injection mold manufacturing processes
  • Ability to program CNC manually and/or using CAM software
  • Ability to read blueprints/CAD files
  • Ability to perform close tolerance work
  • Strong mechanical ability
  • Good communication skills
  • Independent work habits
